About Vision CRC

The Vision Cooperative Research Centre (Vision CRC)  is a collaboration of researchers and industry partners from around the world, drawn together to deliver innovative solutions to common eye conditions such as myopia, presbyopia and hyperopia - problems that affect the vision of billions worldwide.

Established in 2003 under the Australian Government's Cooperative Research Centres Program, Vision CRC is focused on converting breakthrough research into successful commercial products to treat these problems. It is also developing effective models for sustainable eye care systems that address the alarming lack of eye care services in indigenous Australia and developing communities worldwide. In the area of education, Vision CRC provides unique multidisciplinary research opportunities for postgraduate students in both a basic research and a commercially aligned environment.
